Adapted from Zhang Muye’s best selling novel Ghost Blows Out the Light, the series’ fourth installment is entitled Candle in the Tomb: The Lost Caverns 鬼吹灯之龙岭迷窟 and will be 18 episodes long. Casting wise, I was a bit surprised when the production decided to recast Pan Yueming as Hu Bayi but I guess they weren’t all too concerned about encountering any disconnect from him playing Chen Yulou in the previous Candle in the Tomb: The Wrath of Time and then suddenly reappearing in the new one as Hu Bayi. Meanwhile, actress Zhang Yuqi will be playing Shirley Yang, Jiang Chao
